FIRST AID AT WORK

4-day training course

Dates: Tuesday 29th July – Friday 1st August 2008
Time: 9.00am – 5.00pm
Cost: £200 + VAT

This 4-day First Aid at Work (statutory) course complies with the current Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Successful candidates will receive a certificate to show that they are qualifed to be First Aiders in the workplace for the next 3 years.

Course Content
Dealing with accidents & illness
Using a First Aid Kit
Simple record keeping
Resuscitation
Treatment of an unconscious casualty
Choking
Treatment of a heart attack
Control of bleeding
Burns & scalds
Poisoning
Fractures

Course Duration : 4 days

Assessment: Practical skills test

Certificate:
An HSE-approved certificate valid for 3 years will be awarded to all attendees who both complete the course and pass the examination on the last day. The Certificate will be valid for 3 years after which attendees will need to attend a ‘Requalification Course’ of 2 days’ duration. The current qualification must be in date on the last day of the ‘Requalification Course’ for eligibility to attend

Attendance: 
100% attendance is required under the Health & Safety Executive regulations. Failure to comply will result in having to start again on a new course.
