Activities will take place during the Week involving employers, apprentices, providers and MPs and each day will have a different focus:
Monday: ‘Competitive advantage’
The National Apprenticeship Service will commission research showing that businesses who invested in skills at the bottom of the recession are now benefiting on the bottom line.
Tuesday: ‘Benefiting directly’
Business and public sector leaders go ‘back to the floor’ to experience a day in the life of an apprentice in their sector.
Wednesday: ‘Ambition’
To raise awareness of the different sectors Apprenticeships cover, apprentices from across the country will come to London to shadow key business and political figures.
Thursday: ‘Apprenticeships driving business’
To showcase the diverse range of 21st Century Apprenticeships, we will invite national and regional journalists to spend a day in the life of an apprentice. We are also helping to organise a conference titled ‘Apprenticeships Driving Business’ which will explain in detail the business benefits of Apprenticeships.
Friday: ‘Community A Team’
To highlight the community benefits of Apprenticeships we will support employers and apprentices taking part in ‘makeover challenges’ throughout the course of the Week.
