At the end of last year I put forward the idea of supporting Teenage Cancer Trust as one of the chosen charities of the year in support of my friend Amy who was suffering from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I was thrilled when the idea was accepted. However recently I discovered that Amy was already supporting her charity CLIC Sargent who was helping her through her fight with cancer http://www.justgiving.com/amynicholls it was her wish to raise as much as she can in order to leave a legacy.
On Monday 9 February 2009 Amy unfortunately lost her battle with Cancer and as per her wish passed away at home in the comfort of her own surroundings and alongside her family.
It is my intention to help Amy in any way I can to achieve her goal of leaving a lasting legacy and to help those who have helped her.
Thank you all for your generosity
John Stirrat
